PRESS RELEASE
WINTER 2027

WINTER 2027
14 January - 28 February
Everard Read London presents a collection of contemplative works that resonate with winter's brooding temperament.
The exhibition embraces the season in all its forms and finds beauty in less - reduced natural light, a muted palette - and foregrounds works of quietude and intensity that celebrate, rather than resist, winter's turn inward
Drawing inspiration form the concept of “Wintering” this exhibition supports the notion that not all periods of life can be intensely productive. Seasonal cycles may encourage us to adopt quieter, perhaps more reclusive, patterns of life to replenish reserves and prepare for rejuvenation in spring.
Featured artists include Cathy Abraham, Beezy Bailey, Kirsten Beets, Zander Blom, Guy du Toit, Ricky Dyaloyi, Guy Ferrer, Swain Hoogervorst, Claude Jammet, Dylan Lewis, Lorienne Lotz, Mark Rautenbach, Brett Seiler, Lionel Smit, Gary Stephens, Penelope Stutterheime, Shany van den Berg, Barbara Wildenboer and Florian Wozniak.
Join us for an exhibition that enters winter’s stillness, inviting a season of quiet looking to usher in a new year.
